Russian Scientific Journals: Current State and Development Prospects

Abstract

The article presents the results of the analysis of Russian scientific journals indexed in the international databases Web of Science Core Collection and Scopus, as well as in the List of the Higher Attestation Commission. The purpose of the work is to analyze the publication policy and experience of the development of national scientific platforms of the countries within the EAEU, SCO and BRICS, the analysis of journals indexed in the international scientometric databases and in the List of Higher Attestation Commission by the fields of science. In the study were used methods of analysis, generalization and grouping. Through an analysis, it was determined that the journal list of the Higher Attestation Commission contains mostly scientific periodicals publishing research on economic sciences, clinical medicine and jurisprudence. The relevant publications are of primary interest for evaluating scientific publications in case of forming a list of authoritative journals.
